St. Juliana welcomes new principal

Keller Lanahan, new principle of St. Juliana Catholic School

WEST PALM BEACH  |  Father Ducasse François, pastor of St. Juliana Parish in West Palm Berach, has announced the hiring of Keller Lanahan as principal of St. Juliana School, effective July 16.

In a June 18 letter to the St. Juliana community, Father François said, “Dr. Lanahan was selected following a comprehensive national search and discernment process led by a dedicated search committee composed of school, parish and diocesan representatives. After a thoughtful and prayerful evaluation of an outstanding pool of candidates, the committee unanimously recommended Dr. Lanahan because of her exceptional leadership, educational vision and steadfast commitment to Catholic education.”

Lanahan has more than 20 years of work experience in Catholic schools, most recently as director of lower school and early childhood at Rosarian Academy. A graduate of Sacred Heart School in Lake Worth Beach and Cardinal Newman High School, she “brings a wealth of knowledge in instructional leadership, community engagement and spiritual development,” Father François said.

Lanahan recently earned a doctorate in educational leadership and organizational innovation from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.

“Her leadership philosophy — anchored in Gospel values and inspired by the legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph of St. Augustine, who founded our school — reflects a deep commitment to forming students in faith, character and academic strength,” Father François’s letter said. “As both an educator and a civic leader serving as vice mayor of the city of Atlantis, Dr. Lanahan brings a unique and valuable perspective to our school’s future.”
