Celebrate Catholic Schools Week

January 25–31, 2026

Celebrate Catholic Schools Week (CSW), January 25–31, 2026, is truly a time to celebrate the tradition of Catholic school excellence, faith-focused learning, strong communities, commitment to service, holistic education, and inspirational leadership.

National Catholic Schools Week is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week. Schools typically observe the week with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members. Through these events, schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities and our nation.

Daily themes inform events and activities that proclaim the spirit of faith, knowledge, and service that defines Catholic school education.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 25

Celebrating Your Parish

At your parish church or local parish, ask students to offer to do the readings, greet parishioners with flyers about the week’s events, decorate a church bulletin board with your school highlights on sports, academics, and school life.

MONDAY, JANUARY 26

Celebrating Your Community

Invite community/parish members to an open house, prepare care packages for active military, and write thank-you notes to local businesses that support your school.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 27

Celebrating Your Students

Let teachers film short videos of students at work and play, and post to your website or show them at an assembly.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 28

Celebrating the Nation

If your school is in a state with school choice options, write notes to your state and federal lawmakers to say thanks; encourage others to work on school choice so Catholic schools can be an option for all students.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 29

Celebrating Vocations

Students can interview teachers, administrators, and staff on why they chose their vocation in Catholic education. Post to the school website, put on Facebook and YouTube.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 30

Celebrating Faculty, Staff, and Volunteers

This is a good day to bring treats for everyone who is not a student in your school. Coffee, tea, and donuts can be a tasty thank you.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 31

Celebrating Families

Families are the most important part of every Catholic school. Post photos of your students’ families and/or send home notes that say thank you for choosing our Catholic school.

One of the easiest ways to get your school noticed is to make good use of social media and your website. Short videos, photos and animated clips can capture the attention of parents, alumni and parishioners. Please tag NCEA on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, plus use the hashtag #CSW2026, so we can share your information! Use the resources for CSW, the Marketing Kit, order CSW swag with the logo and theme at www.catholicschoolpride.com. Take advantage of all of the devices you and your colleagues have on hand to continue to get out the word on why Catholic schools are great places of academic excellence and faith-filled mission.
