Faith Inspiring Excellence
The Diocese of Palm Beach, Office of Catholic Schools is honored to present the annual theme as: Faith Inspiring Excellence. The mission of the Catholic schools in the diocese is to build learning communities, based on the Gospel message of Jesus Christ and rich in Catholic values and tradition. The schools have a commitment and responsibility to teach the “whole child” in mind, body, and spirit. In developing the gifts, talents, and uniqueness of their students, the schools seek to prepare leaders and Christian stewards as a beacon of hope for the Church of the future.
The diocese consists of five-counties and has 20 schools which include three preschools, 14 elementary schools and three high schools. On average, more than 24 million dollars in college scholarships are earned by high school seniors each year, with nearly every student graduating. Research continues to show that students who attend a Catholic school are more likely to attend and gradate college, plus be more civically engaged and likely to vote. In addition, Catholic school students are also more likely to attend Mass with their family as children and continue attending as adults. There are many reasons to attend one of our Catholic schools and these are just a few.
The Catholic schools of the Diocese of Palm Beach offer a strong, competitive academic curriculum that provides students with a well-rounded educational experience and emphasizes our Catholic identity. The schools are committed to the development of the whole child – moral, spiritual, academic and physical.
The Catholic education curriculum also involves teaching our faith and traditions to our children throughout the curriculum not solely through daily religion/theology classes. Our schools play a vital role in the formation of future leaders in the Church, the community and business world. Catholic schools emphasize academic enrichment and moral and spiritual development for their children.
