DIOCESE OF PALM BEACH SCHOOLS IN PALM BEACH, MARTIN ST. LUCIE AND INDIAN RIVER COUNTIES TO BE CLOSED TOMORROW, NOVEMBER 9, 2020 DUE TO TROPICAL STORM ETA
**NOVEMBER 8, 2020, 2:30 PM UPDATE**
The Diocese of Palm Beach Office of Catholic Schools is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Eta. During severe weather conditions, the diocesan schools follow the decisions of the respective county's public school system. At this time, schools in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties are planning to be closed on Monday, November 9, 2020. Please be aware that this means the Diocese of Palm Beach schools in these counties will be closed on Monday, November 9, 2020, as well.
Please note, Hope Rural Catholic School and Rosarian Academy operate as independent Catholic schools (students that attend these two schools should follow their school’s procedures).
During this hurricane season, and as always, the safety of our Diocese of Palm Beach school faculty, staff and students is a top priority. Please note that when the school is closed, all student activities on campus are suspended.
Follow your school’s website announcements and social media sites as to when school will re-open. Please know that the schools will resume as soon as it is deemed safe for students and employees to return, and that it has been verified that road conditions are safe for traveling.
The decisions as to school activity cancellations and closures are made using sound judgment and information obtained from the Emergency Operation Center. We pray for the safety of our families, staff and community.
