Starting today, August 1st, the Diocese of Palm beach, Office of Catholic Schools, is proud to launch a new initiative called, “Something Greater Together.” The idea for this initiative is to show our community how our schools and dedicated school employees live the mission of the Office of Catholic school to, “develop the gifts, talents, and uniqueness of their students, the schools seek to prepare leaders and Christian stewards as a beacon of hope for the Church of the future.”
These school administrators, teachers and staff are elated to welcome their students for the 2020-2021 school year and look forward to providing quality instruction, a caring environment and faith-filled learning opportunities. Through their tireless work and planning, these school employees along with the Office of Catholic Schools, are stronger together, as they show grace, compassion and optimism for this coming school year.
The theme of this initiative is derived from the 2019-2020 theme of, “Something Greater,” which showcased how a holistic education means more than setting the highest academic standards. It also means revealing that there is more to life than personal success: there’s moral character, and service to the community, and ever-present faith. There is something greater to pursue that makes a life complete.
This school year, we have added a new component to this theme: together. Together we are stronger, together we are more courageous, together we are more resourceful and together we are truly Something Greater. “Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.”- 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
