Lumen Christi Award Recipients - Michele Mackey & Kelli Smith

Michele Mackey and Kelli Smith exemplify service to St. Joseph Catholic School and are role models for the entire school family. Michelle and Kelli have been the co-chairs of the Fall Festival since its inception six years ago. They have shown tremendous passion, dedication, and teamwork to the festival and all that they do in service to the school. Both Michele and Kelli have been members of St. Joseph Parish for many years and are true advocates for Catholic education, believing in the mission and spirit of service to others.

Michele serves as a room parent, assists with our drama department’s musical, and also coaches sports. Michele currently serves as the coordinator for the Adoration Chapel. She has four children; two are alumni and two currently attend St. Joseph’s.

Kelli has served St. Joseph in many capacities as well. Kelli is currently the girls’ varsity volleyball coach and has also coached girls’ JV volleyball. She serves on the Parish Pastoral Council and has three daughters, two of whom are alumnae and one a current seventh-grade student. Kelli is a product of Catholic education and is an alumna of St. Joseph, as well as the daughter of former principal of St. Joseph Catholic School.

Michele and Kelli and their spouses are a true asset to St. Joseph Catholic School and Parish. Their warm welcome to others and commitment to their faith family and make them both genuine servants who give of their time, talent and treasure to St. Joseph Catholic School. The parish and school are blessed by their presence.
