Congratulations to Corey Collins Heroux, who will be leading John Carroll Catholic High School and to Lisa Bell, who will be leading St. Helen Catholic School! Please join us in welcoming them to our #DoPBSchools family in their new roles!
Corey Heroux graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2008, with dual Bachelor’s degrees in English and Spanish and a minor in Education. In 2010, she graduated from the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education Teaching Fellows program with a Master’s in Education after teaching for two years in Baton Rouge. Additionally, she graduated from the University of Notre Dame’s Remick Leadership Program in July 2016 with a Master’s in Educational Leadership. Heroux was named the JCHS “Teacher of the Year” for the 2011-2012 school year, having taught at JCHS from August 2010 until becoming Assistant Principal in August 2016. Heroux lives in Vero Beach with her husband David and their two sons, is excited about the new role.
Lisa Bell is one of six children born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mrs. Bell earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from the University of Tulsa. She relocated to California to work in the field of social services and chemical dependency. Mrs. Bell moved back to Tulsa to assume the position of principal at Monte Cassino Elementary School in Tulsa for five years. She earned her Master’s in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. Mrs. Bell has worked in the field of education for the past 21 years, 19 of them in Catholic education. For the past eight years Mrs. Bell served as principal of St. Pius Catholic School in Tulsa. Mrs. Bell is married to Will and the have two grown daughters who reside in San Diego, California.
